KEY: (Q) = Question

        (A) = Answer

       (E) = Explanation

62. (Q) What is the fifth article of the Creed?

(A) The fifth article of the creed is, ‘he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead’.
(E) The words ‘he descended into hell’ does not mean that Jesus Christ went to hell, as in hell fire, Not at all. It simply means he was buried. Furthermore to explain that, when Christ died he went to a place in part of hell called limbo.

63. (Q) What do you mean by the words, ‘he descended into hell’?

(A) By the words, ‘he descended into hell’, I mean that, as soon as Christ was dead, his blessed soul went down into that part of hell called limbo.
(E) To avoid repetition, limbo is well defined and explain below.

64. (Q) What do you mean by limbo?

(A) By limbo I mean a place of rest, where the souls of the just who died before Christ were detained.
(E) The souls of the Just (Righteous men) who died before Christ did not go to heaven. But the Bible said Elijah was taken up to heaven, Enoch did not see death, in Good News translation, the Bible said Lazarus was carried by angel to sit beside Abraham at the feast of heaven. Now where is Limbo from? The heaven the bible was talking about is the same definition and meaning with limbo. Jesus made this clear when He said in the Gospel of John 3:13, And no one has ever gone up to heaven except the Son of Man, who came down from heaven. When Jesus resurrect, other resurrected. If they were in heaven, then no need for them to resurrect. Matt 27:52-53.

65. (Q) Why were the souls of the just detained in limbo?

(A) The souls of the just were detained in limbo because they could not go up to the kingdom of heaven till Christ had opened it for them.
(E) Christ is the way the truth and life, no one can enter heaven except through Him. He is the only way to heaven.

66. (Q) What do you mean by the words, ’the third day he rose again from the dead’?

(A) By the words, ‘the third day he rose again from the dead,’ I mean that, after Christ had been dead and buried part of three days, he raised his blessed body to life again on the third day.
(E) Christ rose from the death has he promised and in accordance with the scriptures.

67. (Q) what day did Christ rise again from the dead?

(A) Christ rose again from the dead on Easter Sunday.
(E) The bible said Jesus Christ Resurrected after the Sabbath. At that time, Sabbath was Saturday, after Saturday, is Sunday. That Sunday is called Easter Sunday.
