🎀GOD IS EVER PRESENT IN OUR LIVES.

One of the loveliest story in the Gospel is the Emmaus event. The familiar story of the Emmaus disciples shows how God works in our lives. These two disciples, leaving Jerusalem and walking back to Emmaus, symbolise humans in their hopeless, discouraged and disillusioned state. The one whom they had followed for three years, hoping for better times under his leadership, is no more. All the talk about his rising from the dead on the third day has only been a myth. Now there is no more reason to stay on in Jerusalem. In their hopelessness they are returning to their obscure village. But the Lord is no ready to leave them in their hopeless condition. The same Lord who was crucified and buried walks by their side. He leads them through the scripture, through breaking of bread, opens their eyes, and bring them back their lost hope and joy.

Beloved most of the time when we are faced with trouble situations, be begin to regret why we have decided to follow Jesus and think that He has abandoned us and then we start considering going back to former ways of life. In such situation, let us remember that we have a living God. He is alive and active in our lives. In moments of discouragement, he walks by our side, works in our heart and bings back our joy.

Finally, having experienced the risen Lord like the Emmaus disciples, were the witnesses to the risen Lord in today’s world. We pray for the grace to be steadfast in our faith, that no matter the challenge that comes to our way as we journey back to heaven, we may be able to overcome them through Christ our Lord, πŸ™πŸΎ.

God bless you.
