9 ways we may either cause or share the guilt of another’s sin

Sharing is caring!

We may either cause or share the guilt of another’s sin in nine ways:

  1. By counsel.
  2. By command.
  3. By consent.
  4. By provocation.
  5. By praise or flattery.
  6. By concealment.
  7. By being a partner in the sin.
  8. By silence.
  9. By defending the ill done.

We May Either Cause or Share The Guilt of Another’s Sin By Counsel:

The word counsel simply means advice. Further more, counsel may also be referred to as guidance, direction, instruction, information, enlightenment etc. Now take a deep breath and you will see how We may Cause or Share the guilt of another’s sins. When We offer bad advice, guide, direct, or instruct someone wrongly, give wrong information or enlighten someone wrongly, then, We are guilty of sin.

Lesson: As a good Christian, Always be on the positive side.

We May Either Cause or Share The Guilt of Another’s Sin By Command:

This is very common to superior people. When We are in charge of any body (subject), We give authoritative command to them to carry out tasks, those tasks, are they for our selfish interest? or for the good of the people? We need to ask yourself this question.

Lesson: As good Christian We should be careful not to use our authority wrongly, we should use what ever authority or power we have to the Glory of God not our selfish interest.

We May Either Cause or Share The Guilt of Another’s Sin By Consent:

Consent simply means: “permission for something to happen or agreement to do something.”. For those of us who have the power of making decisions, We should be very careful of the thing we permit to happen. This guilt may also be associated with bribery, in this case, selling your consent.

Lesson: Always agree to do something good and do not permit evil.

We May Either Cause or Share The Guilt of Another’s Sin By Provocation:

Action or speech that makes someone angry, especially deliberately (intentionally). When you provoke someone deliberately, you are guilty of this. Provocation sometimes also leads to immoralities (the action of arousing sexual desire or interest, especially deliberately.).

Lesson: Be sure to taste your words before you spit them out.

We May Either Cause or Share The Guilt of Another’s Sin By praise or flattery:

When we praise someone for doing wrong, we our self has done something wrong.

Lesson: Promote good not evil.

We May Either Cause or Share The Guilt of Another’s Sin By concealment:

Concealment: The action of hiding something or preventing it from being known. To make this clear, Do not cover for cultist, criminals, etc. Report to the authority involve when the are been search for.

Lesson: Do not hide the truth.

We May Either Cause or Share The Guilt of Another’s Sin By being a partner in the sin:

For example, a woman who is not married is pregnant, and she wants to abort the baby. As a good christian, as long as you are aware of her intention, you must advice her not to do so, never assist her in any means eg.

  • Transportation to the place of abortion
  • Paying the fees
  • Encouraging her
  • Or in any form that will help her intention

Failure to do so, the punish due to her is also due to you.

Lesson: Learn to encourage each others in good deeds

We May Either Cause or Share The Guilt of Another’s Sin By silence:

Some people will say “It is non of my business” Nigerians will say “E no concern me“. It is your business and E concern you. When you see someone doing wrong, speak up!!!, by doing so, proved you are a good Christian and, may save another person from trouble.

Lesson: Whether we talk or not, we will all die someday. So, it is better to talk than to be silent

We May Either Cause or Share The Guilt of Another’s Sin By defending the ill done:

It is wrong to defend wrong doings. The person doing wrong may never realise what he/she is doing is wrong. Parent take note.

Lesson: do not defend any wrong doings.
